Apologies for the super original title! This is a very very late Christmas present for my friend, Steph L. I hope she doesn't see it here before I give it to her in person :0
Also, I found that stones don't scan well D: This is acrylic on two turkey feathers, with Lady Amherst pheasant feathers, an additional turkey feather, and a Swarovski Elements crystal.

Very nice. I hope you don't mind some critique...I have seen a few people who do painted feathers (me among them) and while it apeals to some, doing sparkly paints or adding jewels to them is cheesy and I personaly think makes them look cheap and not like fine art. I know you only have the one small stone, but even that makes this less nice to me...sorry.
It's no problem. :) I don't mind critique at all!
I contemplated whether or not I should put the stone on. One of the reasons I used a stone is because where the two small feathers overlapped, the quills looked a bit odd. Adding the stone covered them up and complimented the green of the painting and feathers.
I will experiment with other solutions for the quill issue. Thanks for your honest feedback! :3

In a way, I like it when I get 'negative' comments because it makes the positive ones all the more truthful. :) I may work with more beads (wooden and stone ones, not plastic!) and see how those look hanging from the feather. Something natural that would compliment the feather.
