Finished off my piece of Wendell and Wild fanart with Kat and Raul being harassed by the titular demons. XD

I started this piece of fanart back in Halloween 2022 when the film originally came out, and I highly recommend watching it. :D

The animation and character designs are fantastic, I liked a lot of the characters (I think Wendell and Wild themselves are really entertaining, I enjoyed Kat's character and her chemistry with Raul, who I also thought was great - and most of the other characters are really fun to watch too :D), Bruno Coulai's music is great, and there is some social commentary in here that I think is handled well in the world with the school to prison pipeline, troubled adolescents and private prisons, which I have heard is a pressing problem.... The two villains represent a lot of the issues with that system. :o

If I was to criticise the film, sometimes it feels like the hell concept and the story of the school is a little bit unfocused for a fair bit of the film with how they link together (while it does bring it all together at the end, sometimes it feels like the plot threads are a bit disjointed and in the last quarter it feels like they're trying to wrap up all of the plot points really quick so it gets rather bloated - it does work well into Kat's character and her inner demons tying into how she has a link to the underworld and hell, but it doesn't feel as focused as Coraline does - it feels a bit like how Nightmare Before Christmas just throws in Oogie Boogie in the last third - he's a lot of fun, but it makes it feel perhaps a little disjointed), and it can be a bit much to keep up with.... but it does generally work well, and I won't deny the film is still a lot of fun. :) It can have a bit to keep up with, and with the running time they have it feels like they're trying to squeeze a tad too much into the runtime so it feels a bit too disjointed sometimes, but it generally works well and doesn't detract from the positives I feel about it. :) And I can add this to the list of demonic/hell based media that I really enjoy. ;)
