No, D. was lucky in that regard. Because Riss was responsible for 'fixing' D.'s brain, he also felt a responsibility to prepare the crocboy mentally for the life that awaits him.

Do all kinds of Meatware's need to go through some kind of process where their brains need to be fixed, or are the people who are responsible for making those Meatwares' in the first place take the time and consideration to make sure to make sure those brains are fixed and working right before they are sent to their buyer unless D was an extremely special case in that regard especially if luck was involved for him at the start of all that?

Usually meatware gets designed from the ground up, with set qualities and behavior coded into the DNA itself. Young meatware products only require the base education that any ordinary child would require, i.e. speech, reading, writing, math, physical training and such.

D. was a special case. Beast heads are designed to have a reduced emotional response, a kind of latent sociopathy. D. had a glitch in that part of his programming, making him too emotional to function correctly. Riss had to give D. and e-damp (emotional dampening). It's a process where the neuro technician links to the subject's brain to rewire its structure, break down some neurons and build new ones in other places. It's a delicate process that can easily make the subject insane and/or braindead if done poorly. Riss knows what he's doing though, he has 50 years of experience meddling inside other people's brains. :U

Wow, the way you describe it makes it sound pretty damn morbid and terrifying that something like that exists in that world of theirs at all and I can't even imagine how that might be used (misused) if some kind of psychopath decides to use that on anybody they decide might give them the best entertainment to torment for any kind of twisted pleasure they have in mind for no other reason other than just being on a whim and doing that to an innocent or anyone they might be paid to do that to no matter whether they are young or old, female or male, human or even a Meatware if that would even give them the amusement they seek from the pain they might inflict on that said Meatware aka Beast head from the very start when they're held against their will to the very end where they're about to expire from all the unspeakable things done to them at that point it kind of almost makes me think that it's almost similar to plot to a video game that really went deep into dark moments of the abuse of science and the cruelty that can come with it and that's probably showed up plenty of times in all the continuations that video game had right up to what I believe is the best example of how science is used to cross lines that should never even be crossed in one variation of that game which is mainly known and titled as https://metalgear.fandom.com/wiki/M.....g:_Revengeance (.)

It certainly has a lot of potential for abuse. Though not just any amateur can re-program someone's brain. Neuro tech requires years of traning and a certain natural aptitude to do it. And it is as dangerous for the neuro technician as it is for the subject he's linked to. Neuro technicians can go insane from it as well, if you lose yoursef inside someone else's mind, you may lose your entire sense of self. Insanity can be infectious.

So it's pretty much a double-edged sword for everyone involved, no matter who happens to practice that field of science, or even whoever happens to go to see those kinds of people for whatever kind of reason they have involving something they want to specifically change in their mind, huh?

Petty much! Nothing's perfect even in this futre, everything has its pros and cons.

I don't suppose that any other kinds of pros or cons that might be involved in this advanced technological society they have in this sci-fi world of yours might also involve certain kinds of setbacks in the advancement of cyborg enhancements and/or even the development of A.I.'s as well?
