F5 IF IT'S HUGE AND HAS COLORING DERPS

Working on a character sheet for my Pokemon OC, Reiker, and I loved this sketch so much that I wanted to upload it separately since only a head shot of this will make it into the final pic. I will eventually make another sheet for him alone, as I have many more wonderful doodles of this little guy.

Reiker's Jolteon is the only 'token emo pokemon with the broken past' of his team, thank Arceus. I thought up such a terrible story for him that I just had to. I thought about throwing some markings or more distinguishing features on him, but I felt it would get too sparkle-mon. Unless anyone has any cool suggestions, I'm done playing around in the design department.

Anyhow, Reiker's Jolteon is the result of trying to evolve an Eevee by experimental alternatives to a Thunder Stone. He began traveling with Reiker when the boy left home, an he was an Eevee. He was a family pet of sorts, but wanted to go and see the world with his owner and be a Champion Pokemon. When Reiker became a part Team Rocket, his ambitions became more selfish and coldhearted. He subjected his partner to an artificial evolution experiment merely with the desire to have a more powerful Pokemon, as the experiment promised to give the resulting Jolteon enhanced stats and so forth. This was obviously a failure, leaving the poor creature rather defective. His left ear was seared off from fighting against the machinery involved, and some of his more Eevee charactaristics remain; his quills are still very soft and fluffy, he is smaller than most Jolteon, and his rear quills are more fluffed out and tail-like. To top it all off the evolution did not quite take hold in his psyche, resulting in a severe and upsetting fear of his electric powers. Through the years he has come to forgive and continue his travels with Reiker, assuming a more stoic and introverted demeanor.

*****So that's that. What I'm still deciding on is his friggin' name. I really want to name him Cloud, as I feel it's a good simple name a younger child would come up with. It also make me think of young Reiker and Eevee looking up at clouds outside his home in the suburbs of Goldenrod, just passing the time. I had a Jolteon named Cloud in one of my older games, though I merely named him that for his spiky yellow fur. I'm just wondering if it's too reminiscent of a certain spiky-haired Final Fantasy character to stick, or if that's all people will think of.
