An unusual bit of fan art for me in not doing something of a forgotten 1950s comic book animal! Pengo, instead, was the star of an early-80s video game that I never played but that my dear bride liked a great deal, and rediscovered this past decade. We have a backglass for the top of an arcade cabinet with Pengo in all his(?) red-and-yellow glory and I tried roughly copying that pose. In the original Pengo's leaning against the 'o' in the video game title; since I didn't copy that, we instead have a penguin leaning against nothing to speak of.

The video game backglass doesn't have any real background, so I improvised these shapes by swiping them from Krazy Kat and colored them with some wild guesses about what might look snowy enough. That ice cube is way too rectangular but I guess if it's in the Antarctic it's probably going to stay pretty un-melted a while?
