The halo floating around her head is a Cortex Disc, allows instant access to cyberspace anywhere any time. Don't even have to plug yourself into anything. It's so thin it can recharge itself by absorbing electric static from its surroundings or its "host", so no recharge necessary.

I hope I don't seem to come across as nosey and/or pushy or overstepping any kind of boundaries in spoiler territory by asking these questions but I'm mainly curious about how that device you mentioned on this page of your comic is implemented and used in this advanced sci-fi society you've shown so far as well as whether there are any other applications for it outside what you've described on this page at this point of time. Like say for instance is that Cortex Disc something anybody can have access to, or is it mainly only provided to the rich and wealthy? Also, if it's meant for people to use as a means of accessing cyberspace or some kind of version of an advanced kind of Internet in this sci-fi world, does that make it some kind of cybernetic implant or something else entirely?
The Cortex is basically the internet of this world, anyone with citizen ID can link to it. But certain areas of the Cortex have restricted access, like payed access or selected members only. Just like with our internet, you can't access private servers or website either.
Cortex Discs are very expensive, more of a toy for rich kids like the latest i-phone. The unwealthy gotta access the Cortex via normal Terminals or headsets.

I’m kind of also curious about whether the terminals and headsets that people might use in place of that Cortex disk since it might be too expensive for them, might match up to its capabilities in some shape or form if they happen to keep that kind of technology up-to-date well enough to be able to do anything that expensive piece of technology can do in and of itself?
Discs can change color, there are larger and compact mini models. Some have more of a boomering shape, they're always a fairly round shape though. There are no squares for example, that would mess with the aerodynamic. And they gotta be thin to not be too demanding in their power supply. Some models do have more memory or apps, depends on what you wanna use your disc for, just like with phones. Some have hologram functions, so they can project images too.
So holograms don't work in a way, that's similar to how VR headsets might be used in the case that when you log in depending on how you use your headset you wouldn't be chatting with people through some kind of Avatar that you designed yourself to interact with other users no matter where they may be gathered at but in the case of using holograms as a substitute to try to converse with other people instead of avatars for that kind of specific purpose the holograms wouldn't be very helpful in that regard especially if you can't chat with other people at long distances no matter whether it's through that other individuals own kind of hologram or "face to face" so to speak in their physical presence through your own said hologram in any kind of specific town, city, state or any other place located on the world that they live in?
You can use it for video chat, but it wouldn't be a convincing 3D fake like in Star Wars, just a flat video projected into the air. And rendering live movement can be laggy, hence why holographic projection is more used for recorded videos, CGI renders or still images. Like the way big screen LCDs are used right now, say if you want a decorative image of a running waterfall in your living room, that's what you can use holograms for.
The first thing that came to mind when you mentioned the hologram functions as a part of those cortex discs involved some things that I saw on an anime show which had a wide variety of uses for that next to a few and/or a couple other forms of technology that they also had in that show that are best described through these links here https://psychopass.fandom.com/wiki/Holograms#:~:text=In%20the%20world%20of%20Psycho,serve%20a%20variety%20of%20functions., https://psychopass.fandom.com/wiki/CommuField (.)
