Hey folks! I've never seen myself as much of a writer but I've felt inspired to give it a whirl with a lot of written DragonScape fan stories that have come in over the years. It's also way faster to write a short story than draw a comic.
May have some errors and my writing style may not be the best but regardless, hope you enjoy this lil, admitingly not stellar situation that at least one human finds themself in at Post 940B7aC decades after the arrival of the Hiker. from the very far from perfect perspective of said human as they see the unstoppable teal tide crash into their small colonial outpost.

Well you've certainly succeeded with flying colors in ambiguousness. I really must congratulate you on continuously making the Silvalao (sorry, still can't figure out how to type certain special letters on my tablets) a very serious and menacing threat. Their Teal Steel is certainly nothing to sneeze at!
Yeah the Sivilão are the prominent power of the DragonScape and are not an easy enemy to win against, especially in a full on battle.
and for typing ã or ü or whatever I just use the International English Keyboard which has imputs for many of these sorts of characters, helps when I need to type in spanish and it gives me a lot of other characters to repurpose

The tablet I typically use to visit this site doesn't even have that, which is weird even for older Kindle Fires, because the International Keyboard was standard even for early iPad's. I'll probably trade it for a newer model next Christmas, but for now I'll have to suffer with it's terrible keyboard and ever-diminishing battery for a while longer.
Spoilers!!!!! Spoilers!!!! Wee woo! Wee woo!!
So then I’m assuming the protagonist of this short story at the end suffered either a similar fate as hiker or what became of them was what Sarah said usually happens to those who get touched by the warp… which is why she was surprised hiker was what they turned into after their suit got breached. It’s ambiguous but from what we know what the warp can do. It was likely either the protagonist died. Or the Protag became a shall we say “raptor”

Also also! I think it’s cool that you’ve said this story takes place about a decade after the events of the main story. And the regular humans and the warped humans have allied against the teal steel raiders! I think this would be a very cool future project to go into to continue to build the world. Maybe even the events of what hiker does leads to humans finding out about the warped ones
