I do not know if I will ever finish this piece. I suspect I will not. I had to draw *something* in the wake of what we've been going through here in Blacksburg. I am a member of SOAP, The Society of Anthropomorphics at Virginia Tech. It was founded by my husband, and is how I met him in the first place. I've tried to place as many of the local members of the club in this piece as I can. I would have included those who have moved away, but there is simply no more room. Yes, it's a very rough piece, but it corresponds to how I've felt since Monday. The furs in the piece are, starting from the upper left:
Nius, Zannah (me), Alaria, Vond, Grynn, Crimson, Horsedreamer, Tyler, Tiger, Aserrelinda, James Tigris, Andros, and Peg. Of this group, five of us are alumni, six of us are students, four work for the university, and one is a faithful townie (yes, I know that doesn't add up. There's some overlap in there). Others who have been members and now live elsewhere include: Tango, Rheoryn, Biker Cheetah, Mephox, Mattratt, and Bren. I know there have been a few others, but I can't remember names at the moment. No crit, please... This one's just too personal. u.u

I hope things go well for you and your friends down there. I have a friend who lived on 5th floor in West Ambler, and I nearly panicked trying to call into Blacksburg for three hours.
I'll be wearing my Redskins hat with a VT logo and a black ribbon on top in recognition of statewide mourning day. I'm sorry that anyone had to go through this experience, but rest assured that you and the VT community have the support of the entire nation for many years to come.

I'm glad your friend was ok! It's been such a panic here as people tried to find loved ones and make sure they were ok. Thank you so much for your support. I feel like I'm going to cry every time I hear a report of someone going out of their way to wear our colors. It still hurts, but it will get better, one day at a time.
*hugs* We were the very first furry registered student organization, to the best of our knowledge. I don't know if there are any others, even now. Thank you for caring. The support from everyone around the nation and the world has been amazing. That's been more help to all of us here at VT than anything.
