A new job was supposed to mean a new opportunity. A chance to better myself, better my life. It wasn’t long before I regretted applying. I got the position to easily.

It’s a blur…

It’s darkness …

It’s bright lights…

A distraction, now’s my chance….

I tried to escape in unfamiliar hallways as I headache became worse. Bones cracked and bend getting reshaped into something new. I was incredibly itchy. My new claws digging at my skin only to have thick white fur appear. My vision blurred as I lost my glasses but focused back to perfect clarity.

Getting harder and harder to run as I went from running on two legs to four than back to two. My mind adjusting to my new bones, figuring out how what I should and shouldn’t be doing. An argument between trying to focus on staying human and giving in to become a Pokémon.

Sirens blared. “Escaped patient” repeatedly shouted out of the PA system. I can hear the guards running behind me closing in on me. I drop my clothes as I run. I turn the corner. The Adrenaline rushing through out my body, tears running down my changed unfamiliar face. One two legs for the last time. A group of guards shinning their lights directly at my direction.

I wasn’t going to escape. I will never be human again. This is my new job. This is my new life.
