Recently saw an image of a bare throated bellbird screaming with its jaws so wide it looked like its head was going to split in half and the mouth inside was jet black. The bellbird also can call so loudly that your eardrums would instantly rupture if you were standing next to it. It made me think of the banshees, and how they say if you hear them screamin the dead of night it means that you are going to die soon.

So naturally i turned that bird into a little hoodie and i made a grim reaper out of him. I got to try a bunch of different shading techniques and ive been focusing on making my sketch lines more confident. i think it really paid off. Added a iridecent effect to it to because that was another thing i had been meaning to try out. I learned a lot from this piece and i actually think hes pretty darn cute.
