The Phantom Anti-Material/Anti-Armor Sniper Rifle was something i started working on at about 9:30 last night and finished around 11:30/12:00. It was spurred on by looking the Sniper rifle from Halo 2 over while in-game and thought "i should totally make a bad-ass looking Semi-automatic sniper like that" and here's the result. Unlike the A2 (i think that's the name to the sniper rifle in halo) the Phantom does not fire 14mm, fin stabalized, discarding sabot rounds. The Phantom fires 50cal rounds and unlike the A2 its magazine holds 2+ rounds giving the Phantom 6 rounds rather than 4 like the A2.

As i was drifting to sleep i contemplated making another 2-in-1 gun using the Phantom as a basis and i'm still juggling the idea around. Want to add something like a browning 50 on the bottom and drop the caliber for the sniper half down to a 338 lapua. Still tinkering, the idea may not develop very far being how fantastically busy i've become, whee~ -sarcasm-

I built the entire gun, save for the scope, rail, and 'grabby bar', from scratch. I convenced myself to try and making a pistol grip from scratch so i'd know if i've gotten rusty or should try polishing that skill a bit more. I'm semi-pleased with the handle, its not as awesome as the handle i use with the checkered grip but it'll do.
