Well, not so much charms as looking delicious...

Only the most paranoid of creatures really, because one of the truly insidious tricks of sal-kind is that most of them are small and natural looking- Many even grow their sap into a fur-like material so if you were looking at a 'natural' animal like a dog for example, if it has truly black eyes it is most likely a canine shaped member of sal-kind! As a result, a monster could eat some tiny sal-animal along with some humans and the next time the critter spawns there will be some human-monster-manders in the mix
