DESCRIPTION
While Dimensia may be a brilliant scientist, even she can't do it all alone. This is Ludwig, Dr. Dimensia's faithful lab assistant. He assists her with inventions and lab work, with many of his duties including repairing and maintaining lab equipment, compiling data, gathering results from testing items and subjects, and helping to perfect and maintain devices as needed. He also frequently accompanies her on her many interdimensional expeditions, and even carries out other tasks for her that don't relate specifically to lab work, including preparing food and lattes, home decorations, foot massages, and confronting enemies.

PERSONALITY
Compared to a lot of other characters, including his fellow scientists, Ludwig carries himself with a lot more professionalism. He's a rather coolheaded, rational, and reliable (albeit rather nerdy) man who has a pretty "neutral" personality and can be trusted to get the job done. While confident in his abilities, he lacks the arrogance of his contemporaries and, in most cases, is a fairly polite fellow, openly praising those who impress him (even if it's someone he's not on good terms with) and always being willing to learn from his own mistakes and others' expertise. While he may not be able to match Dimensia in raw intellect, he's a more lucid counterpart to her, staying grounded and keeping his composure when even she becomes undone. In that sense, he's like Parra in that both characters act as the voice of reason for their respective groups; Ludwig, however, is a lot more patient and less snarky than Parra, oftentimes only reacting with an exasperated sigh.

However, there is more to the guy than this. This is best seen, funnily enough, in how he interacts with his boss, Dr. Dimensia. He's utterly devoted and obedient to Dimensia, always carrying out her orders no matter what. He greatly admires her work and her intellect. In fact, Ludwig actually has a HUGE crush on her and often works extra hard to earn her approval and/or woo her. Unfortunately for him, this is pretty one-sided, with Dimensia being too preoccupied with her work to even notice, much less reciprocate; it doesn't help that, because of this, he sometimes finds it hard to talk to her without getting nervous.

Ludwig also works with Charlemagne (another associate of Dimensia's). While they can work well together, they can also squabble at times. Being well-aware of Ludwig's feelings for Dimensia, Charlemagne takes special pleasure in teasing him over his crush and generally ruffling his feathers, which Ludwig naturally finds pretty annoying. Meanwhile, although Ludwig tries to stay above this whole thing as much as he can, he can't resist the urge to exact some petty revenge on Charlemagne from time and time. In general, Ludwig has his own silly and bungling qualities in spite of his professionalism: for one thing, he has a habit of overthinking and overanalyzing things, which can lead to some less-than-optimal decisions on his part. He's also a huge nerd; when he's not working, he loves indulging in interests like anime, cosplay, and adventure novels.

POWERS AND ABILITIES
Ludwig possesses a genius-level intellect - while not on the same level as Dimensia and Plasma, he is still perhaps one of the most intelligent humans on Avalos. He is a technical genius and inventor of considerable skill and has helped Dimensia create several devices, most of which are geared towards interdimensional travel and/or extractions. He's also tactical enough to give Dimensia good advice on her endeavors and is probably the only person Dimensia trusts (besides herself) to maintain her more complex devices in her absence. He also has great organizational skills, both with his own workspace and with the data he and Dimensia collect from experiments.

Additionally, although his physical appearance doesn't give this impression, Ludwig is actually fairly athletic and has some skill in various physical areas, including climbing, SCUBA diving, and at least basic hand-to-hand combat skill. However, where he really shines in battle is his skill with weaponry. He's a skilled marksman and uses a customizable blaster that can achieve multiple different effects. He's also proficient with a laser sword (which, yes, is basically a lightsaber) and is a skilled pilot who can control a wide variety of vehicles.

Ludwig also gives great foot massages and is a skilled cook, both of which Dimensia can attest to.
