It was a chilly winters day and an even colder evening as the sun went down. Just off to the left hillside you might make out the impression of a snow covered road (some of the horizontal snow lines) that in the summer time winds its way into the hills even further. A good high clearance vehicle, can make it I think, but that roadway leads to Mt Baker Hotsprings. My car won't make that drive even in the summer time, as its potholes are car-eating. I did it on an e-bike last summer and it was a great ride with a great reward at the end. Be advised, there's always naked people at the hot-springs, every single time. There is another way there thats hike only up from Swift Creek campground. This time of year, its a big no for me sadly. Maybe when the snow melts in the spring I'll treat myself with a ride up there for a steamy hot bath in the middle of the wild woods.
