About the same time I made Zuki, my buddy Roequ gave a similar treatment to Minya, the Japanese "Baby Godzilla," so, since I was already known for making a Great Mazinger K-Girl, I decided to make one based on Mazinger-Z, its predecessor, but make this one in the new "K-Junior" style. Originally, the plan was that it was supposed to be Mazinger Zoe as a kid, but logic refused to accept that as-is...so she became Zoe's prototype body, discarded for her current form and, later, re-activated with an "imperfect" copy of Zoe's mind, resulting in her new younger/older sister, Maisy.
Originally, Maisy was a bitch and a half...I'm serious, there was nothing likeable about her. She was domineering, power-hungry, manipulative, self-centered...I was the only one who saw something hidden in that snide smirk, so I decided to try and figure out what made her tick.
...boy, she was kinda homely when I first made her.
