Yep. That robotic "effect" comes from two things: first, the recordings are too short. You need to record a syllabe a bit longer. Like, instead of "a", you say "aaaaaaaaaaaaaa". Second, you need to keep a constant tone for all the syllabes. If you stay on C3, for example (C3 is a tone), you need to stay on it for the rest of the syllabes. It will help, and a lot! ^^
