I think I should do more studies like this more often (and probably more than a single one at once buuut I did just scribble this right before heading to bed), it helps me memorize the character design details and stuff like that, helps me figure out the style I wanna mimic. With my ver I made the nose slightly too big, eyes a tad too small, buuut the smaller eyes do give him a bit more of a matured look so I'm fine with that mistake x3

You are welcome <3 I believe in you and you will be able to do it. By the way I am using the same technology with using references like a screenshots and I noticed that I am started to draw a little better.
And also I loved your little "mistake" with Balto's nose and eyes. He is looking so cute and really looking as if Balto is a little bit more adult than in the film.
