I actually drew this last year. This is an old old old character of mine that I decided to sit and revamp a little. As my style has changed I like to sit and draw the old characters and focus on updating them here and there. Amber was a sort of mustelid canine hybrid critter back before there were hundreds of fox/whatever hybrids everywhere.

She really shows how I have a fondness for large areas of black and how I like to see a black and white balance in images. Large spaces of white drive me nuts. This is why I decided to make Gen an arctic fox and why she wears a black shirt, because I can do the black/white thing with her as well.

As for Amber herself, she was going to be in the Blood From a Stone project which I was going to do after Thursday, but now that folks have nudged me to focus on Three poor Amber has gotten trunked. I'll keep her around though and will eventually find a place for her. Amber is hyper, athletic, and never developed a proper sense of tact. She's one of those people who knows that they can get away with saying whatever they want because they're pretty. She's intelligent as well, but thankfully is just superficial enough that she hasn't considered using her intelligence to do some real manipulation. She's not evil so much as narcissistic.

In a story arc I had written out between her and Kryst, she got extremely frustrated because she was flirting with him and got no response. It made her get obsessed with him for awhile, to the point of digging through his personal belongings until she learned why.
