well this si what happen, and keep in mind im not a a computer person: the tablet will only work when i use my finger to move the mouse. the light will turn red when i have the pen over the tablet, and get brighter when i touch the tablet with the pen, but i cant get it to actually do anything, that is, the mouse just wont move with the pen

Your pen probably needs a battery, or your tablet driver may not be specified for your model.
