Abandoned Koopa Cape [MK Wii] by Lay
This piece of art I created after I saw a few videos of a more apocalyptic, lava-based version of the fan-favorite course ''Koopa Cape'' from Mario Kart Wii. It's not the prettiest picture I've made so far, but I do think the Koopa face on the right and the green-and-yellow decorations look quite good and are IMO a nice reference to the original track.
The apocalyptic version of the track has the stream of water removed and now features Kataquacks (those weird duck-like beings that fling drivers into the air with their duck bills) walking on the area where the water once flowed down the curvey path and into the signature pipe. Speaking of which -- that pipe has completely been blocked off, and instead has the drivers take an upper route using red, caged iron constructions that take them back to the place where the Start/Finish line once was. The start of the race is now located in front of the dried-up river instead. Coming off the red constructions and back on the road, the drivers have to make their way backwards on the original track, and enter the curve that was once overed in water currents coming from the mountainside. From here, it's back to the dry river section and onto the second lap.
-- This time, the picture I drew was NOT my own imagination, it rather is my own recreation of an edited version of Koopa Cape that I really started liking once I became familiar with the adjusted layout. Here's a short video clip to show ecaxtly what I just described -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v69M9War-k

Heh, thank you! Originally it was supposed to be uploaded before New Year's Eve, and would feature more of the changes made to the original track as seen in the pinned video, but for what it currently is, I think it's solid enough. Although don't be surprised whenever I upload an alternate version of this pic in the future.
