2022 Summary of Art
I've been doing these for over a decade on deviantart, so thought I'd share it here too!
Here's a few of my personal accomplishments and highlights from 2022:
- Successfully tabled at Furnal Equinox (back at it in person after 2 years!)
- Got my 3rd and 4th Covid boosters (don't forget to get vaccinated!)
- Moved to a new place (only here until May 2023, but gonna make the most of it!)
- Travelled to Newfoundland with my family, and got to meet extended relatives for the first time (my dad hadn't seen these cousins in nearly 50 years!).
- Splatoon 3 (honestly my favourite game this year, I love my squids so much)
- Read 56+ books !!
- First time at Camp Feral! It's like a furry summer camp. Honestly one of the coolest events out there.
- So many concerts (Cavetown, Carly Rae Jepsen / Bleachers, Halsey, Lord Huron / First Aid Kit, Mother Mother !!! I missed Animagucci cause I was stuck in the hospital for 16 hours but that one would've been a banger too). I also went to see my friend's bands perform a handful of times this year too (Including with The Dirty Nil) and was rad as fuck to get to support them like that.
- Finished my first ever D&D campaign! It was incredible to get to wrap up Dawnlands. I will be DMing more in the future for sure!
- Got to see fuggin humpback whales (and cried about it)
- The last movie I saw this year was Morbius on the plane ride home yesterday and I think that sums up my whole year pretty good.
It's fun to reflect on everything I've managed to create and accomplish in a year's time. Here's to the next one!
