Well now, that's a fun looking creature.

It's kinda funny how human face-recognition system is failing with this interesting beast.
At first you see him as an eyeless creature, then you notice that actually there is an eye in plain sight.
But even after that your brain struggles to admit that this alien do has eyes!
His evolutionary past must be quite complicated. It looks pretty predatory to me but placement of his eyes is like most of the prey has: wide field of view but no stereoscopic vision which is important for predators. Looks like that despite of his vicious appearance on his planet he is not the most dangerous species and more of a prey than a predator .
