Poor little fella, wasn't paying attention and lost his only ice cream cone (strawberry, even, too! D= ) on the floor of the department store!
Heh, this pic started out as an obsessive idea I had one day and after quickly sketching it out, I got it inked and colored/shaded in less than a week. Then I figured I'd add some smooth shading and one thing led to another and now a month later I'm fiiiinally releasing it. XD Actually, the characters didn't take long. It was the background that sucked up all my time and will to live. =D Though with all the crazy reflective, focus, and lighting effects I think it was worth it. =3
I'm fairly pleased with how it turned out, though the sketch had a much more dynamic pose that was lost once I got done with the line art. X3 And ironically, almost all of the inking was done free hand this time around without the help of the spline path tools. Also it lost it's tooniness after I 3D shaded it so that's something I still need to work on. ^_^;
And just to note, this isn't my fursona as a youngster (although this scene is loosely based on real-life events! D= ) since this little guy is in an anthro universe compared to CF's more feral design. Also he's missing his chocolatey paw markings. XD (Though maybe they come in after adulthood? ^_^; )
Anyway, I hate leaving this character in such a sad state so I think I'll need to do some more artwork with him pronto, and the character itself was a lot of fun to draw. =3 Hope you all are enjoying it too. ^_^
Drawn on a Tablet PC with Paint.net and colored/shaded/lit in Photoshop CS4.

But of course, though I only mentioned it because I saw it and it made me think of my lyrics. It's just a coincidence. :) http://david31.deviantart.com/#/d36g8w5 Here's the link.
I plan to, this little guy is too cute to ignore! =D
And I've had plenty of vanilla decide to commit suicide rather than end up in my tummy! D= It's soft-serve that will never do you wrong! >=D Unless it happens to be 95 degrees out, which in my case was very often. XD

"Hey mister, it tastes like feet!"
Sorry couldn't resist that line even though it goes against the mood of the pic. XD
Being the germophobe I was as a kid, I wonder how I would have reacted to doing that? It probably would have been OK if after it was picked up (and flipped upside-down) if the former floor-touching layer was scraped off with a plastic spoon. ^_^

I couldn't help but laugh out loud to myself when I read your reply. You see, when I was a youngster, my favorite candy was a Jolly Rancher "Green apple" flavored hard stick candy. My Mom detested the darn things because to her they "Smelled like feet." I guess tat sour green apple smell reminded her of the pong one senses after one takes off their shoes or something. And please forgive my not mentioning offering to buy the cub a fresh cone. I can understand "Germophobia" issues too.
