An angelic furry hybrid OC commissioned and designed together with  zafara back before the war started.
I rather like the outcome, so I went ahead and thought of a detailed setting for her, hopefully soon to be used in a story commission!

Physical Appearance
Shifra is a furry angel, a unique species of celestial beings with powers that stem from the core of a star they are entwined with at birth. She is about 2 meters (6.5 feet) tall and weighs around 80 kilos (175 pounds), although the weight can vary depending on how saturated her flesh is with magical energy, and will generally be decreased for flight. Her physical form is rather resilient and will automatically draw on magic for its protection and healing, making it extremely difficult to inflict a serious injury without possessing the right tools and means to fight angels.

She is about two thousand years old, although since angels are bound to sun cores and live on celestial scales, she is still relatively young and inexperienced. Compounding this, Shifra finished training and obtained her rank along with access to the mortal world only several hundred years ago, with enough experience to venture on solo missions with no oversight even more recently than that.

Origins and Social Hierarchy
Shifra is a natural-born angel, the only daughter of a powerful Throne female Elres and an esteemed Dominion male Zuriel, constituting one of the most prominent houses of upper elites of Heaven. As per tradition, when she was born, her parents used their status to pick the brightest and the most beautiful of stars to imbue her with its power and provide her with celestial grace and guidance, linking her soul to the star itself.

With Seraphims and Cherubim being too mysterious and close to Deus to “dabble in the mundane”, Thrones (carry His throne, carry pieces of Deus with them, and deliver judgments) and Dominions (generals in His army, manage authority on Earth and the rules of life) are left as the ruling elite of Heaven, enjoying partial autonomy while ultimately still serving and answering to Deus. Being the only child of such powerful angels has its own perks, but it also comes with many expectations and responsibilities, such as having to uphold and expand the Family’s honor and power, as well as preserve and enhance the potency and purity of the family bloodline, with arranged marriages oftentimes being the norm (candidates are already lining up).

House intrigues and rankings, lords, dynasties, and general politics out of the way, the rest of Heaven’s cast systems fall into the following categories:
- Virtues (miracle-workers, literally, heal the sick, strengthen zealots, etc.)
- Powers (the first line of defense against evil, mainly protect mortals from demonic forces)
- Principalities (captains of Deus’ army, delegate the lower ranks and organize nations)
- Archangels (lieutenants, heralds of the Good Gospel)
- Angels (privates, everyday angels, search out and assist individual mortals with their woes)

Profession and rank
From her childhood, Shifra had an unnatural curiosity towards both mortals and demons alike, their behavior, motivations, strengths and weaknesses. But above all else she was always fascinated with the topic of corruption, what drives it, what slows or speeds it up, and how can one control the said phenomenon. Her natural gifts (both magical and physical) combined with her sharp mind and insatiable curiosity, have landed her a position as a Power, jumping over all the previous ranks and steps she’d have to go through, some might say not without the help of her parent’s reach and influence.

Having completed her training and officially joined the ranks of Powers, she is now tasked with studying the nature and mechanisms of the soul’s corruption, as well as finding ways to lessen or counteract the evil demonic influence of the hellish beasts on both mortals and angels alike. Her recent commission has finally given Shifra access to the mortal world, the expeditions primarily intended as field studies and experiments, but sometimes leaving her just enough leeway for observations and detours of her own. Let’s hope that Shifra being a relatively new recruit that is still out of touch with many realities of the mortal world doesn’t result in anything… unholy~

Personality
For a divine creature, Shifra is still quite young, but her relatively sheltered childhood, an ever-present special treatment due to the renown of her parents, and her superior strength and magical power as a pure-blooded angel combined to make her somewhat bratty and overconfident in her own abilities, oftentimes thinking herself better than her peers due to her “noble birth and lineage”. Described as sassy and even arrogant by her coworkers and not yet battle-tested outside of favorable and controlled “hunts”, she keeps making bolder and deeper incursions into the mortal realm filled with all sorts of furry creatures, oftentimes getting closer than safe while observing or chancing an encounter with a tricky foe to get the samples and data on the particular breed of the demon.

Shifra’s experiments and studies on the nature and mechanisms of corruption are extensive and in-depth, not leaving any details outside of their scope, including desires of the flesh. Being a natural-born angel, she has never experienced what it is like to be a mortal, and sex life in Heaven is… well, just about non-existent, much to her (hopefully) secret disappointment and suppressed frustration. Shifra would never admit to it, but most of her exceptional drive and curiosity is fueled by the less-than-holy intrusive thoughts and shameful desires utterly unbecoming of an angel, let alone one of her rank and origin. Only time will tell whether she can win this internal battle and control her hidden side, or fail to its temptations and face the grim consequences…

Equipment
Shifra’s most treasured and cherished artifact is the collar that holds a beautiful stone crafted from the core of the star her powers and her destiny were linked to at birth. Few angels possess such a luxury, despite each having a connection to their own stars. The collar helps her draw power from the Celestial domain, as well as increases her vitality and strengthens her body. For now, her star shines brightly in the sky, as beautiful and radiant as the day Shifra was born.

Another artifact and a prominent family heirloom gifted by her mother is embedded into her forehead. A rare mana stone touched by Deus himself, granting her protection and good fortune, on top of amplifying her angelic powers. These are the two items Shifra never takes off.

The rest of her gear, excluding her Power garments and the decorative leg rings, she wears mostly during her expeditions to the mortal realm and perhaps even beyond, to that of the enemy. These include the custom combat cuffs with specialized mana stones and her enchanted halberd, which is another family heirloom. Both the armbands and the halberd are extremely expensive and rare artifacts gifted to her by her dad when she passed the training and officially joined the ranks of Powers.

Abilities and Fighting Style

Shifra is nothing if not a powerful and dangerous celestial beast. Her immense angelic powers give her a strong aura that will outright burn any lesser demons who touch her or even come close to her. That being said, the same aura can also be used to track her, so she developed an ability to tune it down to blend in with the mortals if need be, even going as far as hiding her halo both to keep it out of harm’s way and to disguise herself.

Despite the expensive and unique artifacts Shifra wears and wields, she generally prefers to stay at medium to long distances, engaging only when she is confident in her victory (not like she’d admit to it in all her boasting though!). Her silent wings and dexterous grabby feet make it easier to find stealthy perching positions and quietly hop from one cover to the next, which is ideal for most of her “demonology research” missions where she needs to stay hidden or at least not reveal her true self.

If need be, her collar and the crystal in the forehead amplify her angelic powers, while the specialized combat-spell-imbued crystals in her cuffs provide defensive magic and give her bursts of strength required to physically wield the heavy halberd she uses as her primary weapon.

The said halberd can levitate and is controlled by the mind of the user it is bound to. If the enemy is at a distance, the armbands give her bursts of strength for stronger throws, then it returns back to her guided by magic. If an enemy gets too close for comfort, she can both wield it herself to fight hands-on or levitate it around her for better agility (provided she has sufficient concentration to do so).

In a pinch, she can utilize the specialized crystals in the armbands to cast a local barrier similar to a small shield one would wear on their arm. It can be useful to block a sword hit or similar, but won’t protect from multiple attacks at once and doesn’t last long.

Lastly, she possesses rather potent heavenly magic thanks to her pure and powerful angel blood, further aided by multiple boosters and artifacts that she wears to every mission. On top of that, she has decent resistance to corruption, but her lack of experience with real combat outside of controlled engagements and general lack of hardships in her life may play against her.

Of course, the lack of combat and in many instances even general experience is nearly insignificant compared to the real problem she is plagued with: the hidden thoughts and shameful desires she tries her best to repress and keep under wraps by playing them off as a professional curiosity. Is perversion truly outside the bounds of good and evil, or is she just losing her way and giving in to the depravity and corruption she is tasked with studying?~
