Saw this very bizarre picture on the news of ocean spray on the beach a month or so ago and I had to pause and snap a pic of the very creepy-looking face that appeared in the photo. It looks like a very old, dissatisfied dog that just found out that his owner is putting him on a vegan diet. 😂😂😂
Kinda a palate cleanser in between all the feet stuff. This Christmas wasn’t the greatest for me and I felt no motivation for a while, but I hope to fix that soon.
The excessive blue is from my dad’s TV. After he brought me up with him back in April, his TV mysteriously went blue like that. We tried fixing it, but it didn’t help much... Maybe I’ll try and turn this thing into a cryptid. 😂

I highly recommend watching this video and reading this article. 🐾
Best thing to do is make wet food for your pets based on a balanced nutritional diet of both meats and veggies. While dogs technically can live off of a vegan lifestyle, they’ll also choose a bowl of meat protein over a bowl of vegetable protein every time. Stewing beef, peas, carrots, potato in a blender with brown gravy? Your dog will practically worship you for the rest of your life. 😂
That being said, cats absolutely can’t live well on a vegan diet because they’re carnivores by nature, and anyone who tries is essentially starving their cat.

For cats, I recommend checking this article - it's nutrients, not ingredients that matters. 🐾
Actually, it is the ingredients that matter. It’s interesting that the Evolution Diet brand is listed in that article because that’s exactly the same formula a former family friend used to use for their cat Moonray. Moonray was a truly beautiful looking tortoise shell calico with the most adorable meow.
She sadly also only lived for a year and two months because her owner put her on an extremely strict vegan diet that included zero animal protein whatsoever, and when the vet had to put her down, he was actually considering pressing animal cruelty charges when he found out just how strict her diet was. For reference:
* She was weened waaaaay too early from her mother, so she was already a skinny cat to begin with.
* She was an indoor/outdoor cat up until the 3 months before she passed. The reason for the switch? She caught Moonray catching and eating grasshoppers and mice for protein, but not just one. Poor thing was gorging on grasshoppers to the point where I had to pull bits of legs from her teeth at one point. 😂😅
* Moonray was on a regular diet before her owner got her, and because her owner was so dead set on her way of life being the best, she naturally forced it upon her pet without slowly making the transition between diets. It was just one day the cat had wet food, the next day it was some sort of mung bean puree cat food that smelt like open ass.
* Despite all the warning signs (laboured breathing, low energy, sore spots on her body, etc...) and countless people telling her that her cat is starving, her cat is malnourished, she just acted like we were all just fucking idiots for not “understanding the vegan lifestyle.”
And then sadly when we got the news that Moonray got put down, I was devastated. I felt like I had failed to save that cat’s life because I actually contemplated catnapping Moonray and bringing her home with me instead. Because her owner would’ve been furious and probably would’ve tried to press charges, but I would’ve just told her to sit on a shotgun and pull the trigger. I can’t stand when innocent creatures suffer, and that poor cat was screwed over by someone who was ‘supposed’ to be protecting them and caring for them!
But it’s fine, she knows better than everyone because she’s vegan. She’s not sucking the meat industry’s dick, she’s sucking the vegan industry’s dick instead, it’s a much more eco-friendly dick to suck. That’s why her cat died at 14 months and every cat I own has lived past the double digits.
Apologies for the rant, but I personally believe that one shouldn’t force their dietary restrictions on their pets as well. At the end of the day, she just admitted that she hated the meat smell from the wet food, which begs the question why she even had Moonray in the first place. That innocent creature’s life was cut short by a certifiable psychopath and I regret not saving her life... 😔

I agree, if you aren't willing to care for a pet fully you shouldn't adopt them in the first place. The same reason why no-kill shelters tend to be problematic, and a focus on spaying + neutering all domesticated animals is essential to eliminating the most suffering possible. It's always recommended that if a certain animal is having a negative reaction to a certain brand to try another, and if a vegan diet truly isn't working for the animal than I understand making an exception. For the majority of animals, there have been countless studies proving that a vegan diet can be healthy for our beloved companion animals. I'm truly sorry to hear your unfortunate family friend's dilemma - it sounds like they had personal issues they needed to work on, it's a shame Moonray was hurt because of it. There are always exceptions, of course.
By the way, here is just one of the many studies I mentioned prior, and this is what your friend should have done instead.

I forgot to add this part and can’t edit my original post. Apologies for the two messages.
I’m not against a vegan lifestyle in any way, shape or form, by the way. I’ve been trying to have at least 2 dinners a week without meat in an effort to slim down. I can grill a delicious cauliflower steak.
What I am against is those who have a very condescending attitude towards those who don’t follow their particular lifestyle, which this woman 100% was. She was unfortunately living up to all the negative stereotypes that most associate with vegans.
By contrast, you instead offered information about common misconceptions about vegan diets with pets that I could read at my own leisure without having a negative position about my own choices, which I am extremely grateful for. It’s refreshing being able to have a conversation with another person without it devolving into an argument. 🙂

Of course, if you ever have any questions feel free to message me - I'm truly sorry for what happened, and I agree that she made a truly terrible choice. I wanted to share with you that you can always report cruelty to PETA if law enforcement isn't helping. They will always respond and help ensure all animals are safe as possible. here is the form. Unlike the misinformation spread about them, they truly want what's best for animals and if you explain what's going on they will assist any way possible (I know from experience).
