The Camwhore's Lament

Once upon a time, when I was a little Ellie*, I thought it would be totally cute to pose for an alternative porn site and get lots of internet fame and some delicious moolahs. I had several advantages that other dumb sluts don't have- a professional photographer, a natural set, pro makeup and hair, all that stuff! And at first, life was wonderful. I felt better about myself and my sets recieved glorious praise! But then, because I had signed these pictures over to the internet and anyone could view them, naturally, comments that weren't asskissing came in, too. Sometimes very mean comments that made me cry and helpful, critiquing comments that I took badly, because I was a little pisser.
Eventually, Little Ellie grew up a little, and left her camwhore days behind, and took on artistic projects that validated her sense of self and portrayed her as an person of value. Sometimes they were nude, usually they are not. Either way, they made Little Ellie feel great and she remembered her Suicide Girls phase as sort of an embarrassing hiccup.
Unfortunately, SG had not forgotten Ellie, and there those embarrassing, trashy photos lurking out there on the internet, waiting to be discovered by fiances and fathers and brothers and my son, hiding on ametuer porn sites and private hard drives all over the internet. Once you do something stupid and post it on the interent, it's there FOREVER.

* 18, just finished my freshman year of college, and about as dumb as a box of rocks. :D

I like the style this was in.
Also, are the kitty and bat borders hand drawn, or is there some goth marker stamp set I am not aware of? [the varying borders thing is actually pretty neat looking]
Also, also: why would your photos "not really belong on this site"? [if that's a real comment, anyway]
A few people thought I, being a hefty girl and all, did not belong on the site and voiced their opinion of it. Still others thought I was not tattooed enough. One gentleman described me as looking too wholesome and too much like a "girl next door". That sort of thing. C:
I'm not covered in tattoos- I have two big ones and two littler ones, and one nostril piercing, and my hair is not in dreadlocks. And I think his main criticism was, "This girl does not look like she wants to stab her stiletto heel up my rectum, she just looks like a nice girl you'd expect to see wearing a yellow printed sundress and cardigan, helping her grandma put up the peaches." lol.
"yeah I used to do this.. thought it was cool, I knwo better now, though."
XD
Im sure theres a topless photo of me floating around SOMEWHERE or another on the internet.
Obvi you don't like your pics being up. And that's your right.
But if you did, and if you still felt there was nothing wrong with it, I'd be the first one to tell you "you go girl, do you" or something equally cliche but extremely heartfelt.
I totally agree generally with the self respect thing, USUALLY. When it's beyond obvious that camwhores are just doing it for attention, then it's something they'll regret later and they're usually not mature enough to deal with the repurcussions of their actions.
As I stated above, the few topless pics (2, if I remeember right) were private purchases to trusted friends, and hell, my husband was the photographer! It was my choice, rather than just asking flat out for money"Have some boobies! :D" after all, what guy would say no? XD
And my husband didn't care, He didn't care, then I thought it was cool.
But thats because I don't have some superego on me telling me "forshame"
But I totally agree, people ought to stop trying to impress upon us THEIR values.
