Douglas here is something a little more experimental of mine. A Final Fantasy XIV OC based on the premise that Nu Mou might well exist in the Source, as well as the First, due to the presence of Ivalice in the game.

With a backstory based on this, Douglas is effectively an 'Ivaliboo'. He's a student of history that was utterly fascinated by the fallen kingdom, and after the Garlean occupation came to an end in his homeland, he took the opportunity to style himself as a Squire of Ivalice, despite having little to no martial training, and designed an outfit to match, complete with a mage's staff that imitates a spear.

He'll also take any opportunity to gush about how cool Ivalice was to anyone who'll listen, despite the fact his knowledge is incomplete at the best of times, and hilariously wrong at the worst, due to how the kingdom's ultimate fate was covered up.

Roleplay with him has been great fun so far, and I'm looking forwards to more!
