It was turning out to be a quiet swim. It was unusually empty out at sea as for some reason not a single fish nor critter was out in the open. I'd find a few small groups of 'em in caves and under rocks but not out in the open. Guess I spooked them today.
But it wasn't totally empty out there it seems as I can see a silhouette in the distance, growing steadily as it soon takes shape as a lone dolphin swimming towards me! He arrives with speed and gracefully swirls around me for a bit before coming to float in front of me. I give him a little wave to great the curious creature, but he seems to be focused on something else... I look down where he's looking and just see myself and the empty seabed below. Maybe he just saw one of the many hiding fish like i've seen? Either way he doesn't float there for long and starts to swim around me as I move along.
As I swim, I feel a bumping right beneath me right against my belly! I quickly turn over to get a look to make sure i'm not brushing up against some fragile reef but to my relief it's just the dolphin again. Heh, guess he's helping me along, or telling me to hurry up!
In line with getting ready for the new year with some old ideas and forms, why not include another old one and bring back a certain dolphin for a bit of a sequence too? Told ya this orca was in for some largeness!
