Right, so felt like redrawing an old image I did back on May 17, 2009: Vulpix 2, so almost 13 years ago. Mostly chose it because I haven't done a redraw this year and because I wanted to do pokemon and it was a quick, easy choice. In some regards I actually like some of the original better, but most of that has to do with the time constraint. Like the original was 23 hours long (2 sketch, 21 color), this one isn't even 4 hours long (1 hr sketch, 2.75 hrs color). Meaning there is a lot less detail used because of trying to keep it under 4 hours. I'm pretty sure if I even did just a One-Pass it'd look phenomenal, but I abided by my own restrictions.


Though that said, I actually still think it turned out pretty well. Made my own fire without the flame filter, though I kind of like the original's fire better. Anatomy is much better but that should be expected. Like the only real things that I probably could have done to improve without going full fur effect or one-pass would be some additional shading and blending to really bring out the geometry, especially around the face and neck.
