Just about the end of the year so figured I might as well update my summary image of what I personally consider to be my favorite five drawings of the year. I know there's technically one more week left and I do intend on doing one more weekly drawing, but I highly doubt it'd make this list. What is amusing however, is that I had intended on doing 12 monthly drawings, where I spend closer to 20-30 hours on them, rather than just the 4-8 for the weekly drawings. I got 5 done, and none of them made the list.
If 2021 could be summed up at me abusing the fade brush stroke setting, 2022 could be considered the year of me abusing the symmetry function. Also amusing how so much of my art just kind of dropped the fade brush stroke setting this year (30 of 46 in 2021 to 7 of 54 in 2022, most of which also in the first few months). But yeah, of the 54 total images done (not counting Blender projects since you almost have to use symmetry in that one if you don't want your models to look like garbage), 26 of which used the symmetry function, 16 of which relied heavily on the function for creating the basic line art. And all 5 of my top 5 used the symmetry function, 4 of which made heavy use of it.
As for progress... I'm not entirely sure I've been doing better art this year. I mean, my anatomy's gotten better for sure. Like just compare the Mige pic in 2021 to the one a year and a half later in 2022. But I'm not sure my best has actually gotten any better. Like I feel the #5 of 2020 beats the #2 of 2019, the #4 beats the #1. I feel the #5 of 2021 beats the #2 of 2020, the #4 beats the #1. But I'm not entirely sure any of the 2022 top 5 beats even their counterpart of the previous year. Probably should see how I rate the value of my drawings like I did last yet and see how they match up.
Anyway, merry christmas and hope yall enjoy anyway.

It hasn't been uploaded yet. Technically of this year's drawings only #5 has made it up so far. Since last year I've tried to get my uploads to about 3 months behind what I've done as an incentive for people to follow me on patreon. At the start of the year I was only 2 months behind. But the werepix chronicles pushed that back 3 months, and Guardian's pushed it back another 4. It's why since December I've upped how often I'm uploading, to try and catch back up a bit. Just uploaded 3-17 today. #2 is 3-33, so it'll probably be 3-4 more months before that one gets uploaded.
However I try and set everything on patreon to be visible to the public 3 months after I finish them, so I'm pretty sure it should be visible to everyone now Here
