This story was a gift written for  ArticulatedArtisan for a secret santa I was a part of, but it's slightly more than that. Arti and I had made these fellows for an rp we had together not too long ago, and it turned out to be.... some of the most beautiful, profound, romantic writing I've ever had a hand in making, good lord. It was visceral enough that I knew I was going to have to write a story for these OCs on their own eventually, just to do them justice. So this TF story is partly that, too, and I'm real proud of how quickly I got it done compared to most of my other writing!

First chance I've taken to flex my Identity Vacation chops, too- Identity Vacation being a distinctly less existential and scary version of identity death, that meaning the TF contains full mind changes but is not permanent, whether through implying indefinite or an eventual change back, or showing the eventual change back itself. Identity Vacation is a term that I coined for this sort of niche specifically (so if there's another term out there don't tell me or else I'll feel bad), mostly because I like the interesting characterization that a full MC and back can give but avoids the permanence aspect that turns me off and scares me so much. Man oh man, I really should be talking more about Identity Vacation more, as your local Identity Vacation advocate- HUGE blunder on my part, my bad! I'll be sure to take my position more seriously in the future.
