Doray is the animal companion to my evil elven wizard Acheron. Acheron isn't the sort of mehnicaly evil wizard that you can spot from down the street, so I needed a more subtle hint that yes, this guy is evil. And thus Doray was born! A standard crow wasn't hint enough. I needed something that when you looked at it you couldn't help but look at it and go, "WTF is wrong with that?"

I'm not exactly sure what disease Doray here suffers from, but the symptems are boils growing around the face and patches of missing feathers. His missing leg is from a narrowly escaped scrape as well as the broken beak. Originaly I had the tip of his lower beak missing, but then I realise he wouldn't be able to eat anything, and the crack on the right helps to throw off the symetry. In the flight picture I drew his wing feathers off on purpose. I think the sharp end of his feathers looks like a saw blade.
