The Nahwoo Croivern is one of the various flying creatures on the Nahwoo island chain. They are a very social and intelligent species of bird and may have flock sizes from 20 to 100 birds. On average a croivern lays 3-6 eggs and has a lifespan of about 20 years.
They are omnivores and their diet mainly consists of fruits and nuts from plants as well as small rodents. Their beaks are laden with teeth that help them grab onto their prey as well as crack open nuts. They are also scavengers and would normally be seen feasting on the remains of animals, sometimes while the predator that killed it is still around.
They are not timid and are known to attack or ward off predators if they come too close to their nest. Flying dragon cats find them a serious pain as they would try to knock them out of the sky if they fly too close. Alone, croiverns have no chance against any other predator but it is always strength in numbers with them and croiverns are known to stop attacking and flee if they lose too many of their flock.
Overall a pretty cool bastard of a bird.
The creatures of Nahwoo belong to be.
