Journal Entry: 24th of Spring's End
The most peculiar thing happened today and it was all thanks to that damn alchemist. I was in need of Blue Spotted Mushrooms, a rare ingredient only found in the depths of the dark forest. He never delivered, not on the day I was expecting it nor the entire week after. So I instead took the initiative to take my carriage into the dark forest to trade with the locals. The dark forest was itself an uncharted and unknown area in the kingdom but the roads that were paved have been safe passage.
The ride was going smoothly with the horses pulling my carriage and gold for trade along the roads, that was until the sounds and vibrations of what I thought were high rank explosive spells being shot around me. Within an instant all gravity left me and I felt as if I was falling. Indeed I was, into large brownish area and when I looked up I saw a hand holding on to my carriage! The horses must have been unhooked from the carriage and ran off in terror right when it happened. I would too if I wasn't so high up in the sky.
I followed the hand and saw a giant weasel woman attached to it. While looking young she did have battle scarring on her face. Is she a native to this forest? Did a mishap with a spell render her this large? I had many questions as this was my first time interacting with someone foreign. My questions would have to wait though as she dumped all of my belongings on to the ground and picked me up with her fingers before tossing my carriage away.
I dangled upside down in view of this furry giantess who seemed quite interested in me. She began to speak in a language I had little knowledge in. All I could make out was "Cavern" and "Crawl.", but the weirdest thing about it, in terms language, she was using it in a possessive way. At the time I was thinking what it meant. Did she come from a cave? Was I to be her possessions like a dragon's hoard in a cave?
I was very wrong.
