Repurposing a formerly male OC for reasons of: AMPHAROS WIFE
Welcome Marcie!
In some ways, Marcie was actually a predecessor to Rucie-- they share a lot more in common than I care to admit. Sassy, blunt personalities, self aware (Honestly before it was more common in my cast, Marc was aware of me and my tropes), resting bitch face energy but a heart of gold underneath, and even a similar overall outfit aesthetic (The boots are alot like a prototype for what Rucie's would be tbh)
"Marcus" was made for an RP a long time ago (Think years, near to if not a decade), the adventure of which has long since ended. The reasoning for Marcie's black coloring was, I had the idea of a "black sheep" Ampharos who dealt with a lot of abandonment and rejection in their past because of their coloring as what felt like a cool idea for a backstory that would naturally lead to a more brooding character.
But don't worry Marcie, you'll get plenty of love along with the other gals now, and I'm sure they're happy to have you in the family!
Meanwhile I'm still experimenting with CSP and tbh while I'm still novice it's definitely fun, and the colored pencil brush is easily becoming my favorite because it REALLY DOES take me back to the old days, the very beginning for me-- of sketching, inking, then coloring with colored pencils before scanning my art; it's cathartic and nostalgic.

Technically you could say so??? It's kind of similar to what happened with Rucie, where accepting something with all their heart reshaped their form to match. That said, they're fully functional and by extension can reproduce. I've been nervous about using the trans label because I'm not sure if they categorize in this circumstance and I'm not one to get too deep into things. The most recent art I have of "Marcus" (Which is the newer outfit I based this one on) Was never uploaded I don't think. So the closest I have is here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/21427373/
Thats unfortunate, I'm pretty sure the shape of the horns is wider and shorter than umbreon ears (I have a lot of practice with umbreon, was actually one of the first species I made anthro characters of, and this bled into how I shape Lucario ears) and, at least in this art has the multiple rings you'd expect on an ampharos' horns. (Umbreon have only one on their ears etc) The snout shape is because I have never really been a fan of weird circular shape heads, I prefer the canid/dragon build, only exception is probably birds. The Mareep line are based on sheep, and while I do not incorporate too much realism into my style, I do make adaptations like that from time to time. As for the feet--Umbreon don't have claws, and while Marcie's feet aren't hoof-merged like Ampharos's feet typically are (those just look silly and unwieldy) it wouldn't match with my style to have them one to one with the original design, as that would lead to compromises on the integrity of the leg shape in the long run and leave need for me to make changes which I have no practice in. Later down the line I might grant Marcie more accurate hooves if I ever learn how to work those kinds of legs out, but I did what I could. Ultimately what causes the issue most is the color of Marcie over all, and this is mostly due to the whole shtick of Marcie's character premise being "the black sheep" literally. That said, the tail is probably the most dead giveaway that it's an ampharos, and it's not hidden or a small part of the piece in any wise. That said, you're not the first to think she or some other of my characters have umbreon hybridization (Looking at you, Violet). It's just pure happenstance that I can't remove without compromising the character for what makes them stand out.
