This is the second of two images I was commissioned to do by the Director of Education at the Jackson Lab in Maine for an outreach program based around genetics.

These are illustrations for presentations to show students - this has a more involved story. The students are asked to 'diagnose' an illness that dragons seem to be suffering from today, at least in this story. This is an image depicting a clue to that disease - the disease is that which is caused by iron deficiency, and as knights have run out, dragons are suffering the consequences. This image from years long past show what a dragon's original diet consisted of.


Materials: This is a combination of Prismacolor markers and Prismacolor colored pencils - the pencils were used over the layered marker color for detail.
