Well, just made it for fun...it seems that Ridley is more special than thought.

Now that you tell that, I am not sure how to answer. Maybe she's just a treath to her home planet (wich is unknown, but I'd bet it would be Earth) wich the army uses to get things under control? Or then maybe she just was born in the space itself, but taken out of her records?
And why she lives on her own in every beginning of Metroid Prime games and such...dunno. Maybe she has generated fetishes for herself that would make "normal" people vomit and get scared shitlessly.
(Or then she has got in love with Ridley completely)

I have yet to hear them even mention Earth in one of the games yet. If anything the stories take place so bloody far in the future and entirely different galaxy that humanity is likely spread every which way.
I remember in the second game that that Metroid thing was in a space station in the middle of nowhere literally and that was a science space station which (like most science bases that are not secretive like that one) tend to be near some place.
Maybe she is one of those people who, in order to make a living, work all the time and she probably almost lives in that spaceship she uses all the time like an ocean fisher or trucker.
My hypotheses is that it is so far in the future and humanity is so far spread that, even though Earth is still very much owned by humans, she may of had been born so far away that she may not have heard of Earth before save potentially in history books or geography class.
After all, how many of us know where our ancestors are from and yet really don't give a hoot on the occasion it is mentioned in school, and were still on the one planet. Just think if the area is more spread out.
