All hand-spun links.
I get my straight wire from, of all places, Wal-Mart. Then I use a bending bar and spin a "spring" then cut them off one by one.
Depending on the diameter of the bar I use, I get either bigger or smaller inner diameter rings. After that, it's all a matter of knowing weaves, which is a lot of trial and error. :3

that's really cool, i've never heard of something like that before. i'd try it but would prolly bloody up my hands way too much in the process. haha. xD

It looks kind of like corduroy done as snakeskin (with one row large and the other row small) turned into a tube.

But it's really hard to tell from the photo.

Yeah it does look like Staggered Corduroy made into a tube. Or maybe double stacked..The picture is way too blurry for me to figure it out.
