Mat is a rescue team pokemon who specializes in healing. His preferred way of doing that is mixing berries in his belly and letting the healing work though his body. His stomach acids aren't really that strong so eating pokemon doesn't really come with the risk of digesting them unless he get's KO'd with someone in him and he's out for hours. He's pretty much a good boy but won't overstep his boundaries unless his leader is with him.
