So I randomly decided that I wanted to do my Sunday drawing doing a song drawing and chose Let it Go from Frozen as my song of choice. And actually then spent about half an hour listening to it on repeat while just trying to figure out what to draw based on the drawing. Originally was going to do something that would be an extremely massive spoiler for a story, showing something that even if I put that story as a push story it'll take me about 5-10 years to reach. And then I heard the line of "I'm one with the wind and sky" and decided to do something with Orelai instead.


And this is still spoilery, but it's something that's an expected eventuality rather than something the reader wouldn't even be aware of. Mostly because Orelai is deliberately building towards this and isn't even hiding that. Of course, as I kept listening to the song over and over I actually started laughing a few times because of how well this song actually applies to Anton. To the extent that if Orelai was a disney-esk movie I can actually see him singing a song very similar to this one with a few alterations (like the fact he's not a girl). So this song has effectively become his theme song, and the thought of what his opinion would be if he was told this was his theme song is also quite silly and amusing.


Anyway, fer the actual image. There are a few things I wanted to do with it. For starters instead of using his wind blade in his normal form I wanted him to be wielding it like he was about to strike so looked up kendo poses. But really awkward trying to draw a blade of wind. His outfit is also supposed to be camouflage for being airborn. Also tried making something like the element breathing from Demon Slayer but kind of failed at a lot of this. Ah well. Biggest complaint are the arms in that they almost look like they're behind the head and in front of it at the same time, making that part look flat. Not super happy with this image and haven't necessarily settled on if this is what Anton will look like. But here we are. Drawing took me 2 hours for the sketch and 1.5 hours for the color for a 3.5 hour total.
