Dark Mander was the 34rth Kaiju of the Fireman TV series, serving as the final Monster in the show's final Episode, "Fireman Disappears into Space".
_Bio and Abilities_
Quick Note: Another one without subs, so I summaries what I saw here – also, Object X seems to be mistaken as a monster, however its Title is Secret Weapon, and serves as ship carrying Dark Mander rather than been itself a monster; we don't get to see the Aliens on this one, likely indicating it may be remotely or A.I. operated. So as such, I will not referred to the vessel as Kaiju/Monster in any capacity.
Dark Mander is an Alien Kaiju brought to Earth by a Spaceship of the Shark Planet - referred to as Object X - with the intent to kill Fireman and Destroy SAF. He appears as the Alien Ship had thrashed Tokyo and SAF HQ. Besides strength, Dark Mander could absorb Fireman's own energy. It sport a sharp pointy crest and fins that ran from the top of the head, down the back, to the tail, as well had sharp spikes protruding from its forearms and feet.
The costume was re-modified from that of Gadorasaurus, from Ep.26, with its roar been similar to Redking from the Ultraman series, though during the absorption of Fireman's Powers, the Beast could scream its name.
_History_
When an object is detected approaching Earth, the Space Station on watch sends the urgent message to SAF; the Astronaut in the call sends a farewell message to his family (a photograph of them on desk, among them a boy who Misaki just talked to at the start of the episode playing Baseball) as he and his colleagues are all killed by Alien the Spacecraft, the object disappears on Radar. As SAF enters on high alert, the enemy vessel reappears and attacks Tokyo with a full barrage of missiles. The Marineburu and the JSDAF engage the Alien Ship, but their weapons are ineffective and the entire Air Squadron – except Marineburu - is decimated.
MarineGo arrives - with Umino, Mizuchima and Misaki on board – to repelled the invader but it too is shutdown; while Umino and Mizuchima are okay, Misaki lays unconscious; they then learn from Chiba that Object X is attacking SAF HQ, turning the place into smothering ruin, destroying the hangars and other vehicles, and burying Mariko alive under the debris – though she is able to walk away covered in dust a bit later. In the onslaught of the Alien attack on HQ, the Kaiju Dark Mander appears (I assume fired as a missile since he just appears in the pyrotechnic storm). Umino and Mizuchima decide to leave Misaki and head back to base on foot, only for Misaki to awaken and take off on the still damage MarineGo, ignoring all calls.
As the JSDF Jets try to stop the Kaiju, Object X reappears and decimates the 2nd Squadron. MarineGo arrives but is shutdown for good by Object X, though Fireman emerges from the crash to battle the Attacking ship and Monster, taking down Dark Mander as soon it enters the fray.
The Two Giants begin to fight; Fireman taking advantage over the Kaiju by kicking, punching and tossing the Beast all over the area, though Object X appears to provide cover to Dark Mander, allowing it to beat down Fireman and then attempt to absorb its energy, though Fireman is able to repelled it and tossed it; Fireman fires a Fire Flash at the ship but this phases out to avoid it. Fireman tosses Dark Mander two more times before it finishes the Kaiju off with Fire Dash; at first it seem Dark Mander is able to repelled Fireman, since the hero exits the body in a weaken, but the Kaiju still explodes in the end.
After the dust settles, Mariko reunites with Umino and Mizuchima; Misaki back to his true self, awakens as Object X reappears and transforms into a weaken Fireman; Chiba lands on the wreck site of the MarineGo searching for Misaki, only finding his burnt Helmet, as he screams his name, Fireman comes under a barrage of missile fire from Object X, though it avoids a beam attack from the ship. Fireman then freezes the vessel and takes it away; Chiba gathers with the others and passes the news of Misaki's Demise, not knowing that he, as Fireman, is taking the Spaceship away from Earth and into Deep Space, thus bringing the series to a conclusion.
