I recently commissioned a piece depicting my newest character's home and I love it! Lunar Twilight is part of a species I'm creating and this helped me flesh her out, as well as her home and her background. This piece was done by MGaby_Sketch on Instagram. It took quite a while, as I was figuring out her home as we went. Parts of her life, her hobbies, and her family background also manifested during this process.
Like a couple other sonas of mine, Lunar is a herbalist who takes after her grandmother. I gave her a quiet place to live, but I also wanted as many natural elements as possible. I also gave her a cave to grow and harvest some of her rarer plants (a natural green house, if you will). She has 2 ovens (for foods and for making remedies), a drying rack for meat and herbs, and a cauldron to experiment with.
While much of her time is making potions and discovering new remedies, she is also a diviner and can read bones, dice, and the stars, like her grandfather. This species can also use elemental magic and her elements are plant and water. Here, you see her practicing her water magic. I will add a closer image of that, since she is really small in the whole scene.
This piece really can out stunning and I could not thank MGaby enough for her talents and patience. This is definitely one of my favorite pieces that I have commissioned and I can't wait to develop this character, and the species, more!
