Well, they became 3D Realms, published the original Duke Nukem Trilogy, then disappeared for a while as a lot of their properties either disappeared or got bought up by companies like Bethesda (who tried and failed to reboot Commander Keen as a micro-transactions based game.) They recently came back but so far it's been much ado about nothing if I'm honest.
