A piano piece that has been in my mind for a good long while... this one has a story though.
While attending MFF this past year, I found the piano there. On that Piano, I played... some preaty interesting stuff as far as some people were concerned, but that's besides the point. A really cool fur by the name of Voodoo was listening, and liked what he heard. He asked me how good I was at composing on the spot... and I smiled at him. He plunked out this chord progression, then left me alone for about five minutes.
He returned to find me playing this... sat down next to me, and teared up almost instantly. I looked at him once I was done and realized how powerful this song was to him... so I asked him what was the matter. His response to me was astounding.... His best friend was teaching him how to play the piano. While learning, he found this chord progression. Just after discovering this, his friend died in a car accident... I was floored.
Just two years ago, one of my best friends died in that same fasion. I was moved to write a song for this man. And recently, with a few friends seeming to slip away, I figured... "what better time to a song."
Not only does this little piece go to my friend Voodoo, but to all my friends, especially those who are most dear to me. You know who you are.

That's really pretty, bud... I remember sitting at my piano at home just playing chords like that, enjoying just the sound they made as they rang together.... it brings a sense of calmness to a chaotic time, although you do make a much better and more beautiful creator than anything I could ever do.... *offers a hug* oh man, you've got me thinking about things now... *eyes well up*
