Here, Kitty-Kitty! (Invincible Kitty Rmx)
It was great taking a picture of Cheeyana out in the hidden jungles of the Senuvan territory. Mainly considering the Senuvan Falls where she likes to relax and enjoy the scenery. That was last year's picture, "Here Kitty-Kitty!" which was one of my faved pics. Earlier this year, we celebrated Cheeyana's birthday in August with a remake of the 2009 sketch of "Invincible". We wanted Cheeyana to show her aggressive look; Those sexy carnivores showing, her biceps flexed, her pecs bulging with her breasts, and a shirt that can surely relate to her, "Kitty of Muscular Destruction". This month, it was all about combining both pose styles into one; sexyness and strength/aggression.

Oh by the way, I just remembered. I'm thinking of doing a piece where Kathie and Sophie go see a Championship match in the men's boxing league. A small, tiny looking boxer against the reigning champ:
An 800 lb. gorilla with arms that when slack, go almost down to his knees.
Can this spunky young challenger take down the 800 lb. Gorilla in the Corner?
Can Kathie learn something that may help her in her rematch with Milli that will help her get past Milli's special "Dance Step Routine" attack?
Find out when the little short story I have in store for you is done :)

It's got more to do , at least with me, with the seriously arbitrary nature of the relationship between Brittany and Stryp(sp?). The way Fred wrote it, it's Girl meets boy. Girl falls in love with boy (and quite nearly rapes him). They get married and have a child. It really is just that simple. We really don't see a relationship develop there. No interplay of characters. Just they meet, frak alot, marry, frak some more, and procreate.
I don't mind Brit frakking Stryp. That was the fun part of it. But the relationship was so shallow, with such a shallow young lady (Cheetah's biggest personal ambition is trying to find the bottom of her mother's credit card. It's basically a Black card. Unlimited.) and a young man, deserving of so much more, who really is out of her league except that Fred just said effectively "he settles for her". At no time did I see a reason why Stryp would say he would marry Brittany unless he thought his life was in jeopardy if he did refuse. Thus I am also convinced the Digger family is the most evil and insidious family in all of AP. They just think they are good guys. But that is a rant for another day.
It's not that Brittany had a child. It's that I just don't feel any of it was deserved. Brittany didn't earn the relationship. Fred just gave it to her, much like his character development scheme: Time to power up? More power for whatever reason. I have every issue of Gold Digger and NO WHERE in it does Gina ever figure out how to work Beta technology well enough NOT to kill herself. nevermind to make it some invincible super science that apparently no one can defeat, circumvent, or copy. It's like Lina Inverse, Slayers, and the Giga Slave. She needed it and writers just let her have it. No real struggle. No errors or fizzles, just "You have Giga Slave" [cue Link acquires riff]. Form that point forward she just points a finger and says "Giga slave" and blows her enemies away. No effort. Same with Gina. Time to make the relationship move along? Let's marry somebody.
I still buy Gold Digger, because I like Fred, but I really hate the main story lines with Gina or Brittany and the first and second degree tangents, like Madrid. You can see what he is going to happen several issues away and seeing how he does it loses a LOT, if not all, its impact the more he does it.
Brittany as a character is done. There really isn't anything Fred can do to bring her back in my eyes. Giving such a shallow and frankly badly handled character like her a child was jumping the shark. Effectively he can do whatever with her and its all good.
Tiffany could be a fun character, so could Brianna, if Fred does something interesting and more complex with them rather than his usual straight leveling up, arbitrary resolutions, and no consequences storylines.

Impressed am I. Well worthy of a proper journalistic review of GoldDigger. Well done!
This might explain the whole Garfield/Brittany fanfic stuff that I see floating around here every now and then. Squashed all thoughts of mine that there were hints of potential misogamy in your last comment. Well said! Well said!
I haven't read lots of Gold Digger, and what pieces of it I do have are scattered through the old AP MangaZines, and single issues that I was able to obtain here and there back in the late 90's, early 2000's.
How far she has come as a character period is unknown to me since my funds are limited (and I tend to collect video games more than anime and manga anyhoo). My weakness though is One Piece, which by far has had more character development in it than just about any other series I've seen while also being funny, exciting, and charming all at the same time.
Granted, no American comic pro or even indie writer does the weekly thing they do over in Japan (as far as I know), so being able to develop a character given the number of pages available can be tricky. But still, Fred's been doing GD for years now, and to hear that he has spent so little time fleshing out the characters is quite disappointing.
Which leads me to ask you this:
What would you do different? How would you have handled a character like Brittany that started off as a precocious, but powerful, teenage brat that tagged along with her sis on adventures?

I gave that a lot of thought. I really stopped trying to rewrite another persons history and one as aggravating as Brittany, I just can't really focus myself to write a new story line for her. So much water has gone under that bridge.
The only things I can think of is that Brittany actually has a real drawn out relationship with Stryppe. That they at least try to have a working relationship between them that would eventually result in the two getting married.
As far as her relationship with Gina, Brittany could really have stood to put her foot down and bold face tell Gina "I don't give a F'ck how much smarter you are than I am. You are going to find a better, smarter, way to deal with this that doesn't scare the living sh't out of me!"

yes quite you were right when you said on your profile page that your style was not quite like the others out there. At least I have not seen anything quite like it before, I've seen stuff similar. The face looks much like anime to me as you mentioned on said page as well, the body not so much which is an interesting blend to me. I've only seen 2 or so pictures of you already so I donno how much of a statement I can say regarding the way you do the rest of the body itself besides what I can see here but I like the blend of anime and semi-realism (as I see the body is more inclined towards in terms of artistic style). But I'm sure you've heard all of that before, sorry for repeating what you already knew ^^
You know I "discovered" you in less then oh 10 minutes or so from now and I'm already liking what I've seen (even though it's not been all too much so far lols ^^;;). I don't think I spotted anything on your front page in the regards of if you wanned Constructive Critique or not so I'll try to leave that be, the first paragraphs I'll leave be as after writing all of that I don't really feel like taking it away. ^^;;
Looks good though! I'm definatly gonna watch you if it keeps on the same quality and subjects, which I do suspect there might be ^_^ it's good to see a talented artist with a lot of insight and wisdom while not being so aloof as some are. I mean I donno about you but even if an artists says "I appreciate all comments" on their front page you don't feel all that inclined to giving them if they don't give a response, even if it's just a "Thanks!" to let you know they've read it.
Anyways I'll stop ranting now and leave ya put, if that wall of text was annoying to read I apologize ^^
have a good day now!

Hey, I really appreciate your intrest in my artwork. You're one of the few who actually take the time to look at the quality of art rather than what was drawn. As far as critiques go, I really appreciate them more X3 Anything to help myself get better at what I do. Also, if you've made a comment as long as a novel, believe me I'll read every bit of it lol. I love reading anyways and I always tell my friends to write me a long letter or something XDD But yeah, once again, I appreciate your time and being what a true watcher does (in my opinion): Giving insight on what they think looks good or could use improvements. By all means, comment away and I'll respond to them. Unless they're simple sentences like, "Good job!" then, I'll feel like a repeat like a shout saying, "Thanks for the watch!". I know you get that a lot from people XD \m/(^^)\m/
Good job! ....ok maybe not ^^
I used to get more of those "thank you messages" but eh not like you pay much attention to the ones you think you've read before anyways. I mean after 6-8 "Thank you for the watch!" you really start to not responding to them much. But that's just me ^^
I try as much as I can whenever I have the energy to do so, sometimes I don't even do that but I've never left a "Nice work" comment just for the hell of it, but yes I figure you should look into how good an artist does his work and not just what he does since...well that sorts of defeats the purpose of watching someone in my mindset. ^^
well on to the CC shall we? I believe that is what you wanned the most anyways ^^
you know I've already mentioned that I liked the blend of styles in there so I suppose I burned that card lols. It's also good in my eyes to see strong, female characters. May not be all that unusual over here honestly but a lot of the time I see females that either look pretty much the same as men with boobs and maybe wider hips if they're lucky (I know I who draws predominantly men have problems switching over to females so perhaps it's not so strange to see around ^^;;) and to see one that looks strong and confident is something I enjoy seeing. Especially when they don't necessarily ready to pouce and tear you to shreads or so in the mood they show off as much as possible to get a laid or something. But again I'm sure you've heard all of that before.
I think though maybe the colouring inside the ear was just a bit too simplistic, it's feels very cell shaded to me, perhaps a run with the blur tool or anything like that would help it out? To me it looks a bit too clearly bordered and such.
Your anatomical skills are impressive, to me every turn and nook in that body is all but perfect and the muscles are well defined with the transition from lighter to darker areas, good use of alternative colours to achieve this (I see you used a dark red/brown for the darkest areas instead of just a darker yellow for instance, perhaps this is very basic shading know-how which I've yet to grasp myself but I think it was worthy of bringing up ^^)
I'm having some minor difficulties with the way the breast is aligned compared to the pectoral muscle though, it is above it you show that very well but I think that with a breast that size shouldn't the base of it be higher up? I may not have breasts myself (Slim, Swedish dude and such XD) but I must wonder a bit on that.
The absence of any clear black lineart lines are always nice to see wherever they appear, I myself cannot work without them so far, so for me it is impressive to see artists who can achieve a functional work without them. Also it is a nice thing that they're not black as Moï always uses them (and ends up looking terrible but ack, so inexperienced ^^;;) but are a dark reddish brown like the darkest parts of the shaded areas are, that way it makes them "disappear" while in there and that is nice to smoothen the image out in my eyes. Perhaps though the lines near her rear and tail could've been slimmed down? They seem a bit wobbly and sorts of unattended sorts of speak?
Lastly I think it's a very fun detail that you chose to put the tail in there, especially so close to the Viewpoint. ^^
I think that was one of my longest....pfft hardly when I really get going lols XD But yes I write stuff like that when I feel like it ^^ And especially so with people I enjoy talking to and well since I got such a nice reception from you, I do feel like doing so ^_^
Hope it helps you out some!

Ah yeah, the lines, I've made them a single color (reddish/brown) as you've mentioned and then made that outline layer a certain blend (usually as Soft Light or Overlay). Then, the lighting and shading are usually broken down into 3 parts and tones: Shading; one layer for simple fur texture, another for smoothing the shading area (I call it realist shade), and then another for fine details and giving certain areas a popout effect.
Lighting is sometimes bare minimal since the shading does all the work anyways X3. One of the shading layers have a reddish hue effect so it compliments the outline giving the effect that you see.
Ok, let's talk about every guy's (or a majority especially furs who like yiff stuff) favorite part, breasts. Female bodybuilder's breasts are usually that low on their pecs. I've been looking at gosh knows over 1,000+ pics on female/male bodybuilder anatomy and human anotomy just so I can get an understanding on certain body parts. I see where you're coming from with how the breast would be located higher, but most artists that I've seen on here and (once in a blue visiting) Deviant Art would draw the women's breasts high up on their chest like that. It's their style and some pics actually look good like that with their style.
Aaaand last but not least, dumb it down for me on the tail part when ya mentioned it seemed unattended and wobbly. X3
It's great talkin with ya and when I get my laptop working again, I'll see about addin ya to my IM, man.

*nods* Well I suppose I'm just partial in that case since I've seen "too much" pictures of artists where their own style has compromised realism, I know though that they aren't blended into the pectoral as I see most of the time though I'm not that behind the float ^^ Buut you know in the end it's always up to you if you think any CC I have is fair or not ^^
Ah well if you look at the base of the tail you'll see it has a rather thick red/brown line bordering it and compared to some of the other ones like it (say on the tricep which is approximately equally thick) I think myself seeing it's not as perfectly fluid in it's composition. It looks to me it was going one way and then the line broke off and went approximately 30 degrees to the right of it's original path, the other lines having been a fluid arc. Good like that?
haha glad you think that already, I must've made quite the impression I imagine ^^ Sure though add me if you'd like I always want to meet more people I can talk to, just please send me a note on here and I'll answer with my MSN adress if you'd like to know it. ^^
