fix your shit, FA
A single-seater, multi-legged combat mech, designed for support of ground forces in urban environments
Small and encased in decently heavy armour, enough to shrug off small arms fire. Its spider leg design offers a stable platform while the swivel-mounted 20mm autocannons offer plenty of firepower in all directions
The cockpit is crammed though, to save on size as well as weight, causing many complaints from pilots with leg cramps and stiff necks

I get the vibes you are trying to make a Blackjack from Battletech on 4 legs. The problem with it is under the rules for custom mech construction I have NO IDEA HOW you could manage to...
'Encased in decently heavy armour'
'enough to shrug off small arms fire.'
'Light'
Mr. Lewdington, us Battletech nerds would like to inform you that light mechs cannot really be called heavy armored, and your mech is sadly no exception if it can only shrug off small arms fire. The notable exception is the Urbanmech, which is a walking turret. The big difference between this and an Urbanmech is that Urbanmechs stands on 2 legs and has one big gun, and 6 tons of its 30- ton frame is devoted to armor. It can take more than small arms fire, which is good because the stupid thing isn't going anywhere fast.

I just really like to recreate every mecha I see as best I can. It's just that in Battletech, speed is another form of protection: the more spaces a target mech moves in a turn, the higher you need to roll for an attack to hit. So rather than heavy armor, light mechs move faster than even an aimbot can keep track. A single ton of standard armor in battletech is 16 points of protection, might seem like a lot, but that is spread out across the whole mech. A light mech (a tonnage range of 20 to 35 tons) usually only has about 3 to 5 tones total,
As for the urbanmech I mentioned in my previous post: Its niche is for fighting in cities, Where building become obstacles that slow everyone down anyway. And it is very cheap, the Urbanmech is the mecha equivalent of what you would get if a T-34 was made competently.
