"despite the ambiguity surrounding them and their short run, midwestern horror stories were incredibly prolific, releasing two albums and a split over the course of two years prior to their break-up. their debut self-titled album was initially met with very little acclaim beyond their local scene, but would later begin developing a cult-following through online word of mouth. this would eventually result in the album getting a vinyl and cassette pressing with alternative artwork for the album's 5th anniversary."
