Here's another griffin. I did a lot of these, because the griffin was the first sculpt released by Windstone as a PYO, so for a long time it was the only one available to paint. They have four now, the griffin, the small dragon, the ki-rin and the winged wolf. They have a large dragon almost ready for release, and are working on a unicorn after that.

PYO = Paint Your Own, and is the line of Windstone Editions sculptures meant to give artists a way to put their own creative touches on Windstones without infringing on copyrights. This particular griffin was based off of my own invented fantasy/sci-fi species, the firecats. Though firecats are not usually birdlike (they're sometimes winged, but have feline heads and forelimbs.) But Windstone hasn't done a PYO cat yet, so I decided to do a firecat griffin. I love fire stuff. I do a lot of flame things in my art.
