Azaad was racing around the Pride Lands, seeing if he could beat his record, when he was suddenly caught by a net and dragged towards a truck. It was a group of poachers that were hunting cheetahs, Azaad being the unfortunate soul they came across, they quickly grabbed him, tied him up, and gagged him so he wouldn't make any noise. Fortunately, his kidnapping wasn't unnoticed, for Rafiki was witness of the action and quickly drew it to the lion guard's attention. Now the guard, led by Vitani, are on their way to rescue Azaad and once again protect the Pride Lands.
