This is my original- "The cold". Story about cold russian winter, terror, four guys and one drowned man, who, after his death, rises up every winter and does the same thing as during his lifetime - kills people.

The whole point is that the past in this story plays a very important role in terms of "idea". For the drowned man, "in fact", is the personification of the past. It cannot be changed, and if you try to fix it, then you will not have the best consequences. For the past is the past, no matter how terrible it may be.

This is true. However, that's where imagination and philosophy come into play. The Past cannot or "should not" be altered because there is a reason for events to occur even if all the event does is to try and teach those that survive the ordeal to not allow it to happen again in the future.

Yes. It's not necessary to calculate the killer in your village and then drive him through the woods with pitchforks and axes in a 20 degree frost. Otherwise, he will run out onto the lake, fall through the ice, and then stably leave corpses in the snow every fuckin winter.
